I usually cook my wild rice in large quantities (I have three kids). Because it does take quite a bit of time to cook it, I cook it then freeze it cooked in zip lock bags. Then when I get home from work, I can get out a bag, throw it in a pan add some garlic, onions and mushrooms and have a great side dish that is nutritious. I also add it to most of my homemade soups and turkey dressing.
